I am spotting a bit (it is brown).
My mind-pure, unadulterated freaking out.
My clinic-unhelpful.
My beaver-chafed.
My ass-parked on the couch for the remainder of the day.
Posted by Vanessa at August 25, 2006 07:35 AM | TrackBackUgh. Brown or red, it weighs on the mind tremendously. Here is to hoping that time goes quickly for your ultrasound.
Posted by: Bou at August 26, 2006 01:01 PMOh sweetie I'm sorry, how incredibly stressful. I'm sure it's fine, but I'm also sure it's terrifying. Drink water - spotting is more likely when you are dehydrated.
Posted by: thalia at August 26, 2006 10:19 AMSweetie -- I had cramping and brown spotting with Babylove at around six weeks as well. Stay on the couch. . .but know that unless it's frank red blood, it's most likely nothing to be concerned about; probably only implantation spotting as your little one is nestling in for the duration.
Sending you love and warm hugs,

Posted by: sophie at August 25, 2006 09:58 PMI am sorry, last thing you need right now is a scare.
Posted by: jenny at August 25, 2006 09:26 PMThis is scary business. I truely hope it turns out to be nothing, again. Hang in there.
Posted by: Lut C. at August 25, 2006 06:29 PMRelax and keep your feet up, since I have no idea what it means, but is makes sense to me that it would be old blood. Happy thoughts coming your way.
Posted by: Cheryl at August 25, 2006 05:59 PMput your feet up and remember that brown is not bad.
And breathe.
Posted by: caltechgirl at August 25, 2006 05:44 PMAnd it always happens on Friday doesn't it?
I'll repeat what others have said, that brown is old blood and probably nothing. If it keeps up, turns red, or has any cramping go to Urgent Care. I hope it's nothing and that you don't freak yourself out too much.
Posted by: EJW at August 25, 2006 05:34 PMwell fucking hell, man! I had completely forgotten about this site and now I come over here and find out that you're all knocked up and stuff! woo! you and Statia get to do the pukefest together now! ;-)
Posted by: girl at August 25, 2006 02:50 PMBrown is old blood and is fine (so my mommy friends tell me). I know that is probably not the least bit comforting to you as it is happening though. Thinking good thoughts for you.
Posted by: Polichick at August 25, 2006 02:43 PMNo clue what the brown would be which is why I would be totally going insane if I was in your position as well. Hope you get some type of help to make you feel better soon.
Posted by: Minawolf at August 25, 2006 12:59 PMDamn that clinic! Why can't they be more helpful??? Don't they know stuff like this, especially for someone who has fought tooth and nail to get pregnant, is terribly stressful?
Keep your ass on the couch and try to tell yourself that brown isn't necessarily bad. Keep us posted. Here's a hug.
